Porsche 917 1/40th scale slot car by Jouef white #68

As this car arrived it was missing the headlights and has part of one rear wing missing. Also the front wings and the rear wing hinge covers have been painted green.

Rear tires needed changing and the motor wasn't running so one of my other Porsche 917's, #8 this is the one with the altered rear wheel openings, gave up some parts. This car now has the orange headlights and running gear from this 917. I think the orange headlights look quite good.

The car was still not running very well and then I discovered that both front wheel fixing pins has reacted with the wheel's chrome plating, you can see the green corrosion in the photos, so the other Porsche also gave up its front wheels and steering arms.

It all appears to be ok now , not the fastest of my Jouefs but still a very nice car.
